Although his part was brief in this chapter Claude showed the power. Couldn't agree morenwith Maria, whatever nasty stuff this guy brings, none of this trio is buying it. I liked Jacob's follow up at the school. Not letting their little girl out of his sight. Smart move on Craig's part to leave when suggest with all body parts attached and working. Claude and Jacob are no to be prattled with beyond a point. Good chapter, I need another cup of coffee after that chapter!
I feel Claude should come out to play more often. I will work on balancing the suite of characters in KEJ always revolving it around Kate, Jacob and Alicia. Thanks for your feedback Chester, as always, it helps me immensely.
More intrigue, more fun. Well conceived. I've just read two very long chapters of two very different types of stories. I'm impressed. I still think turning some of your stories into novellas might help you financially but it would also take time away from your present writing. Thanks again for the entertainment.

Now, suddenly, he wants to “reconnect?” He didn’t want to disrupt her life at the orphanage but thinks disrupting her life now that she has loving parents is a good idea?! I’m with Claude, something’s up. Geez Kate, you’ve got me smack in the middle of their business! lol I don’t know how you do it but you make me feel like I’m right there with them. Wow!
Something lurks in the darkness but Jacob protects all. While Kate maneuvres to attack our French and British special forces lurk unseen, watching and protecting the golden child. Craig is fucked!
If he cared so much about his niece why didn’t he do anything to help her after she lost BOTH of her parents?! Oh, that’s right, he “checked” on her. Clearly he didn’t want to be bothered when she really needed someone. Now that she has lots of someone’s that genuinely care about her he’s so concerned with reconnecting. He is a total stranger to that kid or, as sharp as she is, she certainly would have recognized him. I say, fuck off dead uncle Craig! All sorts of scenarios are running through my head. My favorite one is Jacob kicking his ass! lol
