Peter’s Point Of View
We had the house to ourselves, but it felt hollow after my daughter and son-in-law left. The hour was late, and it was my turn to release Michelangelo so he could prowl the few local alleys and blocks that comprised his fiefdom.
As I opened the back door, a security guard nodded, smiled at the inky black feline as he silently passed by, and returned to watching the road.
Back in our bedroom, I showered while Katerina called our girlfriend, inviting her to stay over for a few days.
Ophelia sounded keen when I left the room, with only her bodyguards to deceive, something I was sure two women, one a life-long spy, the other with plenty of experience at evading them, could easily do.
